There is a common thread between the period plan
Just want to brag a little! We at Hestavoll kindergarten made good use of the time during the "corona period" this spring and developed our own language plan with several supplementary booklets and elements.
There is a common thread between the period plan we have had at the bottom of bhg for several years, at the same time as we have used/interlaced the language packs, the conversation pack and the language chest. I have attached here the content for November. We now have the theme of fruit and forest animals. The story of the month is the leather glove. We also have the rule of the month as well as table verse.
We also have something we call a focus word poster with words we will focus on this month that reflect the adventure for the month as well as the theme.
A "loop game" has also been created based on the focus words for the month.
We have made booklets for each month that contain tips for activities (divided into shaping, science/sustainable child development, outdoor activities, language games), song booklet, coloring sheets, fairy tales/stories, conversation topic/table verses/TRAS/focus words/joke/riddle.
We have also prepared the monthly plans in advance and they contain more information for parents as well as the focus words so that they can be practiced at home.
Language work has become important in our kindergarten due to our enormous diversity. So developing something that is so complete, suits our nursery, is easy to understand and find for everyone and more informative for parents is really wonderful! And last but not least, it saves us a lot of time and effort in the years to come (even though enormous amounts of hours were spent creating this!)
Must also applaud the local library that receives the bibliography and theme for the month and creates book packs for each department.
