We are getting ready for cohort carnival
In the older children's department where I work, we are fond of traditions. And according to tradition, we have made maracas for the carnival.
Usually we use snow and the children make snowballs, then we put plaster around them and we let it melt and dry until it hardens. This year we don't have a lot of snow, so water balloons were used instead. The balloons were inflated by us adults, but the rest of the process was done by the children with a little guidance. Extremely exciting, sticky, messy and fun.
