"My ship is loaded with"
is a great game for children who have started to play with language, and who are beginning to understand that several words can start with the same sound.
It's a nice game to practice finding the first sound in words ??
In the game you choose a letter from the alphabet, e.g. "My ship is loaded with S", and then you have to find words that start with the letter.
For younger children, it can be useful to have picture support to be able to find words that start with the letter. I have therefore made a game version with boats/ships and pictures of the words that can be put on the ships.
If someone wants to buy the game "My ship is loaded with, it is for sale on the idea bridge buy, sell and exchange.
How to play:
- Each player has a boat with a letter sound on it. You can also choose to be two players together for a boat.
- The pictures are placed with the picture side up, so that you can see the pictures.
- In turn, you must find a word/picture that begins with the letter sound you have on your boat. If you have a boat with the sound of S on it, you say "My ship is loaded with S", and then you find a picture of a word that starts with S, e.g. shoe. Then you put the image on a circle on the sail of the boat.
