Had to make a The caterpillar is never full until used a pringles box, glued colored paper around and on the lid. Cut holes for the mouth.
The children thought it was fun to put the pictures in their mouths. I asked if they could find the different pictures and give them to the caterpillar, and the children learned what the different pictures were called. This is in a toddler ward from 2-3 years old and many foreign language children. Felt it was good language learning for them too!
