Good exercise for fine motor skills

Children aged 2-3 have made butterflies from cardboard, contact paper and tissue paper. The children could choose which color they wanted on the butterfly, then it got a piece of contact paper over its wings.

The children were then allowed to place pieces of tissue paper on the contact paper, and the adult sealed the tissue paper with another piece of contact paper. Then the butterflies were hung up by the window so that the sun's rays could shine through and show the nice colors. Good practice for fine motor skills, the glue on the contact paper provides an extra challenge, we talk about the colors the children use, and about butterflies that fly outside from flower to flower in the summer.
