Rainbow party in Skogkanten

Rainbow party in Skogkanten Naturbarnehage - TDM. We ended the week with a rainbow party, to celebrate love and that we are free to be ourselves!

During the last few weeks we have learned about the meaning of the rainbow flag, about different family compositions and that all people have the right to love who they want and be who they want. The school starters have created their own rainbow law, and they were really proud of it.
We celebrated it all with face painting, dancing, music and good food. All the children also got to choose their own heart, where they glued a picture of themselves. With the help of an adult, the children told us what they like and love about themselves, and we wrote it on their hearts. So that they can always look at it and remember that "I am perfect, just the way I am!"
The PRIDE flags adorned our kindergarten, to the great delight of both children and adults. We are proud to highlight the wonderful diversity of our community, and show our support for all people who struggle to be who they are. Happy Pride, everyone!
