From rose hips and rosehip jam, the road continued
From rose hips and rosehip jam, the road continued, plums and areas of use. We have eaten straight from the tree, picked, cleaned and made jam and plum pie.
The jam was a great success, the pie was incredibly nice to make. The kids did EVERYTHING. They cleaned, split up. Sift the dry stuff on and finish with butter that was cut with a cheese grater and placed side by side on top. Tada, was served warm with a dollop of ice cream after the spread lunch. It tasted heavenly, the adults think. The children think the process was better than the taste, most of them. Have fun with seasonal ingredients.
