Then we had 2 weeks with a theme; "pirates". we have heard and seen music with Captain Sabetann. We have painted pirates, we have been given tasks by "Captain Stumblefoot" and his friends Knall and Fall.

They have left tax maps and tasks for us over these days. The children have drawn their own maps and been on a treasure hunt with their own maps. On the last day we had a pirate party where we are lucky enough that a father knows Captain Sabeltann himself, he had read a greeting to the children and he himself was on a trip to Gran Canaria. It was very nice. We had to find three letters that would make one word. If the children manage to solve it, the children get the key to the treasure chest. Bsrna also had to walk the plank. Knall and Fall had put a surprise in the fridge too, it was a pirate ship made of watermelon. This was a successful theme. We observed that the children started playing pirates outside, they made their own maps and dug for treasures in their play outside. New words were learned and many nice shared experiences we are looking forward to the next topic.
