Each week we will cover one or two countries
The pre-school group at Brisk Kindergarten will use the entire month of March to travel "Around the world in 31 days." We are so lucky to have children from 7 different nations in our group.
Each week we will cover one or two countries. The children take home a suitcase which they fill with an item of their choice from their home country. They get to demonstrate this in an assembly where all the children also get to learn some simple things from the chosen country.
We get on the plane and travel. The flight contains everything a flight should contain. Passport control, security check and screening of suitcases. We have real flight sound taken from You tube and turbulence occurs at take off and landing. All the children went straight into role.
We spend two days each week on the project. The children participate in all processes from when they book plane tickets, place an order for flight food, visit the passport office, make their own suitcases from shoe boxes and other relevant creative activities and shop at duty free.
The country of the week was Somalia????.
