We have done something exciting at Veslefrikk
We have done something exciting at Veslefrikk in Flekkenga! We have painted a tree in the first room/part of the department.
Each branch has its own subject area. Here we will hang some pictures from what we do with the children, and they will be hung on a branch we think fits the subject area. We will talk about it together on Tuesdays at the meeting. We will talk about why we think what we do, give each other input and possibly other thoughts and opinions, or see that we think a lot of the same thing. You can always use several subject areas in relation to a thing/activity/situation, and that's what we're going to visit every week. This will be a good awareness of the subject areas for us adults. What we are visiting, and why and how.
Some children have already spent time finding their letter (3-4 year olds) unprompted. It will also be nice to be able to talk about the pictures that come up. Then they will probably remember what we were doing when the picture was taken, where we were and hopefully have good conversations based on the pictures eventually. We think there will be a lot of good things here for both young and old!
Our 3rd grade students have been with us and started this here, and used it as development work. So we have put together a plan that we think will be very good! We are looking forward to it!
