Super day!
Today we had a "super day" in our kindergarten.
A super day should be an exciting, different, fun and SUPER day for the children. Children's participation must be central to the planning of the day. So today was bicycle day according to the children's wishes. The children were allowed to bring their own bicycles, as well as use the kindergarten's bicycles. There was a fish sandwich for lunch, and 'Ninja Turtles fruit' for the fruit meal (see picture). SuperAina (leader in a superhero costume) brought several new Turtle toys, and there was of course a distribution of diplomas to all the participants on the super day. Both young and old have had a great day:) (if anyone is in doubt: Turtles are very popular with us)
Why do we do this?
The staff must
• take as a starting point the children's experiences, interests, views and initiatives in the day-to-day work of the nursery and when choosing and implementing themes and projects
• build on creativity and play and be open to improvisation and children's
participation
