We work with Karsten and Petra
As an annual theme in our department (18 children 3-6 years) For the last two weeks now, we have been preparing to travel to the south.
We have read the book "Karsten drar til syden" during the gathering hours, made tickets in small groups and used the age-divided groups to make passports, palm trees and airplane windows. In the shaping, the children have made flower wreaths and hula hula skirts out of tissue paper. Today finally came the day and children and adults trooped up dressed in Southern clothing and full of expectations. When all the children were in place, it was off to the changing room while waiting for "go to gate". The rest of the rooms were completed where the first room you come to is the plane. The children had to go through passport and ticket control before the seats could be taken. Slightly bumpy and winding take-off, but once up the children were served coffee and tea (blackcurrant juice). After the flight, there was the welcome ceremony where the children received the flower wreaths and had to stop by the hotel to check in with their passports before they could go to the pool area (big blue tjukkas pulled out in the middle of the room) and dance music gave the dance floor a boost. After a while, the children put on their hula hula skirts before eating, chicken and paprika barbecue skewers with fresh salad, cucumber, corn and tomato in a tortilla and juice for drinks and ice cream for dessert. They used the ward in a whole new way which was fun to watch. Was otherwise out as normal and ate the lunch I had brought, but the game was still in the south. An hour and a half before closing time we flew back home and fruit was served on that stretch. Had a great day.
