In my department we are still working on the theme of birds
The children were given a card of each bird, and when I played the bird sound the children had to pick up the card of the bird they thought was singing.
We have had several gatherings in advance where the children have gotten to know the sound and appearance of birds. It was great fun, and the children enjoyed themselves. We have several examples of each bird, so we could also play memory games with the bird cards. It was fun for both young and old. Here, there was also a focus on "playful learning".
I made the cards myself by copying pictures from the internet, printing them out and laminating them. Easy to make, and almost completely free :-)
