Yes, then this day was over too
And the older children were very excited and expected a joint meeting in the gymnasium today, as it has been for the last 2 years.
But it didn't turn out that way. The witch Marit had lost her witch's hat and could therefore not make witch's brew this time. To get a new witch's hat, she had to do some missions, and needed help from the children. One mission was to tell fairy tales to at least 50 children, and luckily most of them would be happy to help her with this. They counted the children and found that if she had collected all the children on the grandchild, then she would have completed the task. Marit the witch was helped by some school starters to dramatize and show the adventure about the 8 Ghost Children who were home alone for the first time. They made masks and found out what kind of food was which colour, before we went round to all the big children's bases and told fairy tales. The audience sat like lit candles and eagerly followed along and clapped so beautifully for the fairy tale they heard.
The witch Marit had 2 more missions, and one of them was to scare someone. There were many good suggestions, and our director should probably be happy that Marit chose to "scare" the children over her. Marit is not a bad witch and does not like having to scare anyone. She is more happy with her last mission, because it was to hand out candy to someone. There was talk of the evening and who was going out to go trick-or-treating and who was going to stay at home to watch a film or hand out candy.
