We have made butterflies out of coffee filters and pipe cleaners
(After an idea from a post in the group) The children drew with a regular marker on both sides of the filter before we cut them up, dipped them in water and left them to dry.
Tip: I think it turned out best when the filter was dipped about 3/4 into the water and remember to leave them to dry on something that can withstand permanent marker colours.
