Fun with sticks and cardboard :)
The concept is magic shields and wands. The wands can of course cast spells if they are held correctly and the spells are pronounced correctly.
The magic shields of course protect against all sorcery (as well as lava, dragon fire, slime and laser swords, probably). The shields are made from cardboard boxes and tape, decorated with colored sawdust and cardboard clippings. The wands are made of willow, as it is a type of tree the children themselves can poke the bark off quite easily. The strips the children pull off the wooden blank can be used as ropes for decoration, for example handles. The children are allowed to fence, but with some simple rules and a little instruction. Enormous potential for versatile pedagogy with regard to both fantasy, folktales, reuse, nature & environment, sensory experiences, interaction, role play, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, word sounds, etc. A total of nine shield-bearing aspirants to the order of beinharde steinharde were today admitted as knights of the degree old lady with a stick (3-6 years).
