The project forest
Everyone knows that outdoor activities and outdoor play are very important in daycare. The game is a great development and learning arena for children.
Making them aware of things they see around them when they are out and about is valuable. That is why I have created a project "Forest".
The aim of the project is for children to explore the forest through shapes and colours.
The children search for:
- oval shapes such as leaves, cones and stones
- long and short shapes such as twigs, sticks, etc.
and try to find associations between objects from nature and various small insects that live in the forest (e.g. ants and spiders) and adapt their shapes to each other.
The project stimulates children to think creatively and experience nature with all their senses. They see, listen, smell, feel and taste.
The children get impulses and inspiration for play through experiences in the forest. They use nature as an arena for play, wonder, exploration and learning.
