In our kindergarten, we have color codes for the groups

(The cohorts.) As we are not going to stick things on tables and floors, due to cleaning, we have hung hearts from the ceiling above the tables in the color the table belongs to.

We have colored hearts with names on the backs of the chairs.
We also have hearts in the colors of the playboxes, outside and inside, and on the doors of the toilet/bathroom they will use.

The children also get a heart to wear on their sweater. We have laminated hearts with a safety pin at the back. (Grandchild) We are a bit excited about how it works. Maybe we have to come up with another solution.

One suggestion to make visible which group the children belong to is to sew ribbons in the different colours, attached with Velcro, (so that it slides off if they hook) to each group. They can easily be worn over all kinds of clothes and washed.
