The tradition believed
True to tradition, the pre-school group had an end-of-night stay at the kindergarten yesterday. This is a popular tradition for young and old.
And with adjusted plans that took infection control into account, a great day was completed for everyone. The children were included in the planning of the day, and they were allowed to participate in both the choice of activities and which meals were served. This year there was a day trip in the forest with setting up a lavvo and grilling sausages and marshmallows. Back in kindergarten, it was time for the dramatization of fairy tales. There were tacos for dinner, and the children could order their very special lefse from our taco menu. Over the course of the afternoon/evening there was a presentation of binders (from the children's time in kindergarten), a gift distribution (all the children each received a copy of the book 'how to start school') and a reading session (we read the book they received as a gift). There was also a 'cinema' where the slime baron 'Daidalos' was shown (Labyrinth). It was an eventful day/evening, and after a night's sleep it was all rounded off with breakfast before we started a new day at kindergarten.
