In the first experiment, we used coffee filters
In the first experiment, we used a coffee filter, a marker and a glass of water. The children colored the filters and put them in the glass of water.
Then we wondered what was going to happen. Some thought the water would pick up the color and remove the marker, others thought the marker would mix with the water on the filter so it looked like paint. Butterfly made from the coffee filter.
