4 and 5 year olds. I took two apples into the ward with me. (I had knocked the one apple a little on the kitchen counter before I went in.)

We had a focus on feelings to talk about it. We eventually took a round where everyone got to say something bad to one apple (the one I had knocked on the bench), then a round where everyone got to say sorry to it. I split open the apple to show what it looked like inside; brown. The other apple, on the other hand, was perfectly fine... but why? We had said sorry, right?
We talked about the fact that the word "sorry" is nice to say, but that it does not necessarily need to 'repair' the bad thing you have said/done.

Have had such a gathering before, and could often hear the children talking about it if they ended up in situations where "sorry" was said, for a long time afterwards. “You must remember the brown apple! That's how I feel now»

(Saw it in here earlier, I think. Recommended)
