A sweet little practice story from this morning
Have three children after opening the group room. They have had breakfast and are ready to read books. A child brings a book and wants to read.
And I say that I just have to help the other two first and then we can read the book. "Yes," says the child. I say that "you can read a bit in the book even while you wait", and "you can sit on that chair there if you want to read a bit" "Yes", says the child. But then I hear "it's busy"! "Busy" I say! "Yes, look," says the child and points to the chair. And, yes, the chair was occupied, there were 3 ants crawling there.
